Albany May 2d 1856 T.C. Durant Esqr Sir I have sold the Barges Grinnell & Bishop together with the [Team?] & fixtures of our [Pillston?]. to T.M. Fish & Co & M L Crittendon & Co for 9.000 Dolls 6 12 18 & 24 months and Ints. I have sent the Bill of sale of the Barges to Buffalo for Mr Lathrop to execute and send you If you get them Monday I want you to execute and return me by Mondays mail without fail. I want to run when Mr Farnam comes down Yours &c CW Durant
