Albany June 2d 1856. T.C Durant Esqr Dear Sir Yours of the 31st came to hand this noon, I can do nothing towards contracting [pt?] of Iron all [illegible] agents here. The agents of the A.T. Co & W.T. Co combination Lines both say they want the [fit?] and will take it low but they must get the [illegible] from Buffalo & nothing can be sent that way for two or three weeks. If in [work?] or contract I will see them this week. Mathews the agent of New Oswego Line has written Honey of Oswego the proprietor of the Line for his lowest price and I shall know in the morning either by letter or Telegraph it better be shipped direct from N.Y. if possible The best arrangement can be made with them if thought best to send by way of Oswego. I spoke to O.T. Honey the NY agent, presume you mean the same Lines but call them [Roby & Higbee?] in your letter. When will the Iron now in port be ready CW Durant
