New York August 31st 1857 Delivered to Clark Durant, one hundred First mortgage Bonds on the Oskaloosa Division of the Mississippi and Missouri Rail Road No. 300 to 400 inclusive; Seventy first Mortgage Bonds on the Peoria & Bureau Valley Rail Road Nos. 201 to 270 inclusive, - Five Bonds of the County of Muscatine Iowa, Nos 30.-51-53-55 & 59. The following acceptances of A.C. Flagg Treas. of the Chicago & Rock Island Company, amounting to the sum of Sixty four thousand & ten 07/100 Dollars. viz 4 dated July 3d 1857 at 4 mos for $5000 Each 4 " " 6 " " " " " 5000 " 4 " " 10 " " " " " 5000 " 1 " " 10 " " " " " 4,010,27 Also an assignment of our claims against the Chicago and Rock Island Rail Road Company for Balance due Farnam and Durant for money loaned that company at Chicago: as collateral security for the payment of Twenty thousand dollars received of him on the Twenty eighth day of August of this current year, and also for the payment of our note due to him dated August 24th 1857 for four thousand dollars payable one day after date, and also for the payment of the following described notes or drafts of Farnam & Durant, T.C. Durant and Henry Farnam, bearing the endorsement of the said Clark Durant, viz. 1857 May 4. 4 mos. maker T.C. Durant. Endorser C.W. Durant.
