Albany Sept 19th 1857 H.C Crane Esq Dear Sir In looking over my papers relating to the difference in Iron as between F & D & the C & RI Co I find some [receipts?] for Iron [dated?] at Chicago which I return you as I have a memorandum of them which is all I require I wish you would send me a memo. of the amt. Iron purchased last year and the amt we hold RI Co [recpts?] for amt Henry [recd?] in Iowa, & the memo. of final settlement with RI Co according to Mr Henry & Tracy making up, I may want it when I go west Have you heard anything from Fish whether all the Iron has gone forward from Buffalo if not ask him this question by Telegraph on Monday & let me know also let me know when the wheels & axles are shipped - please give me the date of last shipt.
