Douglass Co., Nebraska, which stands in the name of your father, Thomas C. Durant, Trustee, I can only say what I have already told you that before making the conveyance and advising your mother and sister to join with you in doing so you should be thoroughly satisfied that your father held the property solely as trustee for the U.P. Ry Co. The fact that the word "trustee" follows his name has a pretty strong bearing on the question, although it does not indicate for whom he held it as trustee. Without some additional evidence the natural presumption would be that he so held it for his children. Your fathers answer to the bill in the Union Pacific Ry Co. v. Durant together with the other papers in that action may throw some light on the matter
