Chicago Rock Island Rail Road Co. Cashier's Office Chicago Nov 6th 1856 Dear Brother I have nothing new to write, myself & family all well. There is not much grain coming to the Grain House now. Mr Farnam is now at Davenport & Muscatine. I am at this time assisting him in getting material over the road. I was at Cincinnati last week. What kind of a change do you think will be made in the Spring with the Grain House, are you coming out her this winter. What news from the Gold Mines My love to yourself & family Yours affectionately Wm F Durant
