We are going to finish up those Bridges as far as we can before it gets to cold and if D & H are going to as any men work this winter I want to know it at once in order to secure our men as almost everyone has gone off to the [illiegible] As soon as we get the Bridges up to meet one pay roll. I wish you would let me know if you think the route will go to Brooklyn this winter. I shall be in New York the last half of Nov if nothing happens. Show me Mr. Henry the map and he will understand the lay of the land and if you should want the best 40 acres I will take it although it will be rather hard on William. Yours truely W F Durant
