General Assignment. H. Anstice & Co., Stationers, 23 Nassau Street, .N.Y Know all Men by these Presents, That I Charles W Durant of the City of New York. for value received, have sold, and by these presents do grant, assign, and convey unto Heloise H Durant of North Creek Warren County State of New York notes and claims against Thos. C Durant with the collateral thereto amounting in the aggregate with [interest?] to Jan 1st 1881 to seventy one thousand one hundred and ninety eight 53 1/100s dollars To have and to hold the same unto the said Heloise H Durant herself or executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby constituting and appointing her my true and lawful attorney irrevocable in my name, place, and stead, for the purpose aforesaid, to ask, demand, sue for, attach, levy, recover, and receive all such sum and sums of money which now are, or may hereafter become due, owing and payable for or on account of all or any of the accounts, dues, debts and demands above assigned, giving and granting unto the said attorney full power and authority to do and perform all and every act and thing whatsoever requisite and necessary, as fully, to all intents and purposes, as I might or could do, if personally present with full power of substitution and revocation, hereby ratifying and confirming all that the said attorney or her substitute shall lawfully do, or cause to be done, by virtue hereof. In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and eighty one C W Durant Sealed and Delivered in the presence of William W. Durant.
