of affirmance you are allowed by law two years to appeal to the Court of appeals; that appeal is taken by serving a notice of appeal on the clerk of the county where the judgment is docketed and on the plaintiffs attorneys & by giving an undertaking which Mr [Lowe?] our managing clerk or Mr Gerard will prepare for you. The next step then will be for the clerk to make out his return which will consist of a copy of the judgment roll. This judgment roll in your case should in structure contain the Bill of exceptions, or in other words, should be the printed book with the order of affirmance added to it. If there are any errors of law apparent on the face of that record, the judgment will be reversed. As I suggested to you, if you will send me (in case you are desirous of [dispatching?]
