Union Pacific Railroad Company P.O.BOX Sears' Building, 3377 Boston, Nov. 25th 1871 Thomas C. Durant Esq. New York City. Dear Sir: The paper agreed upon in Sept.1870 between you and R.G.Hazard have at last been found. They were not signed by either you or Mr. Hazard; but Mess. Ames and Dillon placed their initials upon each paper as wetnesses to the agreement which was to be drawn up by me. I enclose you copies of each of them. The first, marked "A," is the agreement that the suits shall be settled, leaving the terms of settlement to be set out in another paper. That other paper is the one market "B."
