Copy I, P. Hazard and others agree to discontinue and settle the two suits in the State of Rhode Island against T. C. Durant and others and said T. C. Durant agrees to relinquish all claims for damage against the plaintiff in consequence of said suit having been [brot?] and all claims against the Union Pacific Rail Road Co, or the Credit Mobilier of America for damage growing out of said suit or injunctions granted in the same each party to pay his own cost - Papers to carry out the above to be made out by the Ally of both parties as soon as practicable and in the mean time no proceeding shall be had by either party not signed (Signed) C.
