Boston, March 6. 1876. J.L.Durant, Esql, New York Dear Liz:- I have yours of the 4th, with your proposed amendments to the answer in Hazard in Equity against Ames and others. As the answer has already been signed by five of the Trustees, if not six, it will be better to insert your amendments, which are perfectly acceptable therein, will you, therefore, sign the answer as it is and confide in me on its return here to insert, word for word, your amendments, at the places designated by you.
