In consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid by Heloise Durant, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, I, Thomas C. Durant do hereby assign and transfer unto the said Heloise Durant, all my right, title and interest of in and to the several contracts of Oakes Ames and James W. Davis with the Union Pacific RailRoad Company, and in the assignments thereof to Oliver Ames and others as Trustees, and in the trust property and funds of said trustees of said Oakes Ames and Davis Contracts, and all moneys and other things due or to become due to me by virtue of said contracts, assignments and the Trusts thereon or any of them; to have and to hold to the said Heloise Durant as collateral security for the payment of all sums of money I owe to her in any manner whether now payable or to become payable hereafter; and I give to her or her assigns full power to collect, sue for, - demand and receive the same and apply the proceeds to the payment of my said indebtedness to her In Witness Whereof, I have set hereto my hand and seal this 19th day of January 1875.
