In the Supreme Court of the State of New York Place of Trial the City and County of New York Thomas C. Durant Plff. agst The Union Pacific Rail Road Company Deft} Complaint in action commenced by summons of March 2nd 1872 The above plaintiff makes the complaint against the above defendant and states Section First. That the defendant at all the times herein referred to was and is body corporate Section Second. That the plaintiff before the commencement of this action at divers times rendered labor and service in and about the business of the defendant and for the defendant and at its request, as well in the business and duties of the Office of Vice President of said Company, as in the other business for which he is reasonably entitled to be paid compensation, reward and salary by the defendant Section Third That the plaintiff before the commencement of this action at divers times paid laid out, and expended large sums of money in and about the business of the defendant and for the defendant and at its request: and
