Chicago Jany 17th/68 W. C. Crane Esq Dear Sir When I was in New York the Doctor was very anxious for Mr Davis to buy some corn and get it up to the [track?] before they had a big snow storm; Mr Davis said if he did so that he would have to draw on him for 5 or 10 thousand dollars; the Doct said not draw on New York but draw on me in Chicago if he should want funds & that he would provide me with funds but he's not doing so I supposed that he had made arrangements with yo for me to draw.
