Office of Samuel R. Honey, Attorney & Counselor at Law, 127 Thames Street, Newport, R.I., Feb 11 -- 1876 H.C. Crane Esq Dear Sir: -- I have written to you twice asking you to send on the letter-press copy of Hazard's affidavits which Gov Van Zandt gave either to you or Dr. Durant on his road to the West. You have not only not sent it to me, but you have not answered my notes. I have also twice asked you whether you contemplated sending any counter-affidavits to Hazard's Thunderbolt: to this request I have no reply. -- It is very discouraging to counsel not to be able to get their clients to attend to their cases. -- I hope to hear from you in respect to both matters by return mail. Yrs truly Saml. R. Honey
