Abraham Payne, Arthur D. Payne. Law Office of A. and A. D. Payne, 43 North Main Street, Providence, R.I., Oct 24 1879 Dear Sir As to the Report of Mr. S. and [illegible], I do not see how Mr Durant can do better than to read your suggestions. The fact that they are approved by Mr Lacy would be [discussed?], and this, [seem?] to [illegible] the [whole?] ground. As to any evidence to be submitted no doubt Mr Durant before leaving N.Y. will have all [illegible] [council?] but I shall be at my office on Tuesday morning and glad to render any assistance of which I may be capable. This [serving] as counsel for a client for an hour I am not allowed to appear is new to me, + I fear I am awkward at it Yours Abraham Payne W. [Sutphero?] Esq 20 Marion St New York
