Providence R I March 21. 1878. My dear Sir I enclose copy of the decision of our Supreme Court. This will enable Mr Durant to make any defence which he has, for though counsel may not attend before the [matter?], Mr Durant after consultation may present in person any thing which he could present this counsel. Now is the time for close attention to his case. Please acknowledge receipt of this Truly Abraham Payne Chas Tracy Esq N. Y.
