If it was it was a mistake; it was meant to be the 1st of January; the interest was computed up to the 1st of January. Int No 31 This settlement was ratified by the Union Pacific R. R wasn't it? Ans No 31 Yes, sir. Int No 32 Who attended to the matter? Ans No 32 The Board of Directors took the final management of it. Int No 33. Who was active in bringing the settlement about? Ans No 33 Mr Crane acted for the Credit Mobilier, and I examined it for the Union Pacific R R Co. Int No 34 What action did the Union Pacific take in consequence of this adjustment? Ans No 34 The Union Pacific R R. Co voted that this sum was due and when it was paid it should be in full for work done under the Hoxie contract. Int No 35.
