Isnt there an agreement between Hallett and the Eastern Division of the Union Pacific, referred to in this Contract as the date of Feb. 13 1864? A. I don't know. Mr Hallett had the Contract before I knew anything about it Mr Hallett and Mr Train --- I cam in & took a third interest. {Exhibit No 3} I don't know of any. 350 - Q. Now state if you please, Dr Durant the whole amount of the bonds of the Union Pacific Eastern Division, that you ever possessed?-- A. Do you mean as collateral of as bonds? Q. I mean belonging to you A. I think 425 thousand, to the best of my recollection. 251 - Q. Didn't you have 640 thousand temporary Construction bonds Series B. A. No Sir; except as collateral. I don't recollect that I had. I had two lots of bonds as collateral [t?] 600 thousand and 400 thousand 352 - Q. Collateral to what?
