The aggregate of one lot was $200,000 367 For 200 thousand of these obligations after referring it to the Committee and having it approved, I paid $112,000 or settled the same by payments in other bonds so that the cost of the Union Pacific was only $112.000 The transaction was made on a cash basis and the obligation taken up long before the Union Pacific issued bonds otherwise it could not have been done at so low a price 434 Add -- I think he was a [Dove?] Keeper in the House of Representatives - I believe so 454 Add -- or agreements to pay after payments 461 Add -- "section" on different sections of the road as fast as completed
