No. 18 After drawing the checks to whom did you take them? Ans. No. 18 I took them to Mr Cisco to be signed by him. Int. No 19 That was in this City? Ans No. 19 Certainly. Int No. 20 And after he had signed them what did you do with them? Ans. No 20 I paid them to whoever the order was drawn, and got my vouchers. Int. No. 21 Did you stay with Mr Cisco until they were signed? Ans. No. 21 Yes, sir, always. Int. No 22 Did you on this occasion? Ans No. 22 Yes. sir; as a general thing he would not sign a check unless I brought the voucher with me.
