At a Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Mississippi & Missouri R.R. Co, held at their Office, in the City of New York, on 3d July 1855__
Whereas, This Company having made an Agreement with Messrs Thomas C. Durant & Henry Farnam, transferring to these latter named parties the Iron bought by this Company of Messrs P. Chouteau Jr, Sanford & Co, by Contract of April 14th/1854__
1st Resolved, That We hereby authorize & request Messrs P. Chouteau Jr, Sanford & Co, to deliver to the said Thos. C. Durant & Henry Farnam, all the Iron that may be due to this Company, by the said P. Chouteau Jr, Sanford & Co, on said Contract.
2d Resolved, that Messrs P. Chouteau Jr, Sandford & Co be, and they hereby are authorized & requested to make such Settlement, of their a/c against this Company, with the Said Thos. C. Durant & Henry Farnam, as they may mutually agree upon; which settlement of a/c Shall be binding upon this Company in like manner as if the Settlement had been made by this Company.
3d Resolved, That this Company be, and hereby is pledged to make good
