Durant Esq Vice Prest & General Manager Union Pacific R.R Dear Sir We hereby propose to Build, raise & complete for you all of the Howe Truss Bridges (not already under contract) you may require West of Green River. You to furnish us on line of road such short timber & chord timber as you may have at $45. per thousand ft B.M and to give us free transportation for all chord timber, iron tools or men required to be brought from Chicago, or elsewhere on line of road - also to furnish us free transportation for Bridges from place of framing to place of raising, We to build the Bridges of the same quality and character and in all respects equal to
