Philadelphia, Feb 21st 66 Sister Ellen, I received your letter last Thursday afternoon, it was post marked [their?] Jefferson. I am sorry the mail does not come to Alson more regularly. The weather yesterday and today has been delightful. The pavements are clean, owing to the dashing rain the other evenning. Ellen, I am sorry you have not a good teacher at the upper school, one that would take more interest in teaching the pupils, instead of learning the scholars to talk what fine person Mr. [Lox?] so is, have you seem him, yet. D. O. Mills must had spoken his mind pretty freely, for surely an excitement suits his disposition. Old Mack still alive, why it is astonishing the old whelp must be tough. Sister you really do surprise me, when you mention of A. [More?] Sparkin' C. M
