Saving...
the life in Buffalo Grove Did I tell you I saw Aunt Beekie Posey Keeffe - she says that she designs paying father and mother a visit sometime next summer - of course I extended a cordial visitation - you'll find her very easily to be satisfied - Mrs Keefe looks very old - broken hearted. Beekie schick has not come to the city - perhaps she may next month. Ellen does most of her millinery work herself - making Sallie and Hattie do all the cooking and washing - most of the work [devolves?] upon Hattie. She can afford to do it - for Ellen has bought her a black dress-garters, [hat Se?], she acknowledges Sallie's Supremacy - at least apparently so. Sallie has several young men calling by the way Hattie is put in the back ground by Sallie hinting she is engaged to Dr. O of Williamsport, Nothing like little strategy.
