Iowa Dear Albert, Have you posted too. just think what weather this "yesterday" has been. No. I know you are too, [illegible] warm hearted to congeal, so I know you are all safe & well. Oh the cherry & grapes are [posted?] bad I am afraid dont know about the apples. I did feel bad to see the beautiful fruit tree flowers & all nature so dropped and layden with the mantle of winter in May day. Yet, when one reads about the great storms of other places why I think it is well as it is. [the following is written vertically on the top of the page] Recipt did I not forget today one cup of flour in that cake hope you did not try it oo you might have failed & that cause you not to try again, I am visiting under the sound of the Whuppoorwill. They are quite lively this spring with their whepp in [illegible] will Glad it is not Bertie as he might talk. a going down hill and temp at some body to give him a lift, but I could not life you a great way so I dont think their is danger A [Dalkino?] I will finish this where I see you the baker got all [guide?] suddenly
