Buffalo Grove Boone Co.. Iowa May 187[illegible] My Dear Albert; This morning as I awakend I heard the rain falling on the roof. and then I knew that we where a going to have another rainy Sabbath day Albert I hope you are well and getting along nicely. suppose you will be getting on so well. that you will think those trips Grove-ward have become superficial as well as nonassential to your healh and appetite. dare say your heart is as warm, your smile as sweet, your voice as clear & strong. your actions as [illegible] & tender as ever, not missing those brave rides over this way. if you miss them. their loss have not detraced from your goodness and kindness. [If?] this is a rather a stormy day for a may-day. why the wind is howling around the house now, for [illegible] rain yet every [thing?] is so green & lovely out for a'that
