then you was a townboy. I hope you did not "strain at a gnat and swallow a camel."  Heard some talk that you done better work then the boss at Perry (Cambell) at least that is what the Cap" says. that [illegible] house is such a complete finish and so nice. he says to, if you dont get your slippers out the way they will get all soiled it would be a great pity they where so good in their day generation I dont think you ever forgot them at twelve oclock at night, as often as your present ones you see I am getting quite stingy dont like to see your good shoes to get soiled.  Nathan says that the apples trees looks as if you could have that barrel full of apples in his cellar for your especial use wont you give me some, say half if you are [illegible] biggest I am not the [trettiness?]  [Haes?] your trees bloom this spring had apples on last summer.  Mother's cherry tree only has one blossome on yet about the whole number too
