Rippey lowa May 10th '184 Dear Aunt Ellen We were all glad to hear from you again and were a little amused at the length of time you took in writing your letter but it was as good as a " brand new one". At present we are all well. In the later part of the winter all had the mumps except Mother.They were brought to school and nearly ever one took them. Is this not delightful spring weather? It is a busy time for the farmers to get ready to plant their corn.We are half done planting and if the weather stays nice will finish soon. No one wants to plant Kan or Neb. seed corn this
