224 Arch St. St Sept 29. Miss Ellie Mower: Monday Afternoon Dear Friend Ellie:- No doubt you think I have forgotten you, as I have not written to you before. but without expending much time in apologizing, I will merely say that there has not a day passed but what I have thought of you and the pleasant time I had while visiting you. I shall never forget them as long as I live. I never enjoyed myself so much as I did my visit to Iowa. Since coming here my time has been so taken up that I have had very little time for letter writing. There is so much to occupy my attention. Sallie and I do most all the house- work, and tend to domestic concerns
