only wish I could drop in and see you all, but Alas! distance forbids, but I can assure you, I am often with you in thought if not in person, and trust that our thoughts blend with each other often, yea, very often, Ellie I am first going to imagine that you are here this evening and I am talking to you, am sure I could take much faster than I can write. I am all alone this evening our folks have all gone to meeting and I, having a very severe cold in my head thought I would be housekeeper and perform the pleasant duty of answering your letter, it was truly a welcome messenger, and rest assured it was perused with the greatest amount of pleasure. it came whilst I was visiting two cousins
