I am teaching a 4 months school at $30 per mo. and if it had not been for hiring a hand should have come out all night as it was I shipped him just so soon as the "Hoppers" look the corn. It had seen better if he had gone a month sooner. They are going south today & as I write the air is full of them. Who will suffer now is the question I have not a thing left to hurt, still the fact that wherever they go they take with them a voracious appetite that is not satisfied with simply what nature provides but must eat the hard provided grain of the o'er needy husbandman. Why is this so? The Lord is too [illegible] to err & too good willingly to afflict the children of men. In the lesson of our eternal home & As location more bruty taught as one afterone of these bright hopes decay?
