Saturday Aug 28 We did not expect Papa & Mamma till tonight but they came last night. We were so glad to see them. It was so late that I did not have time to write of their coming last night. Mistook the 6 oclock bell for the 8 & so arose early. Went to market with Papa, worked & read most of the morning. Went to see Allie & Gracie (Meg & Beth) in the afternoon & stayed to tea. Played Magic Music, authors & Black Art after supper. Sunday Aug 29. Went riding in the afternoon with Papa, Mamma, May & Gracie. Monday Aug 30.
