the morning at Papas office, & when she got home at noon complained of the ear-ache & was feverish all afternoon. Mamma has doctored her up & put her to bed, I hope she will be better tomorrow. Sunday Nov 7th Gracie is a little bit better today. Monday 8th Gracie is worse today. Dr. Staples say's that it is the Gastric fever. Tuesday 9th May stayed out of school yesterday, & I today, to help take care of Gracie. She is better. This evening I went to our club (It has no name yet) & so did May when she had finished her music lesson. Met at Linns, & full attendance. Read "Castle Dangerous" by Walter Scott. We had pop - corn for refreshments & thought it tasted
