Tuesday 22 of Feb. It being the anniversary of Washingtons birthday, we were given a half holiday. Laurie and I put up a telegraph between our houses. Club at Amy's. Our paper was read. Although the girls said it was good, I could not help feeling ashamed of my story, it was so silly -- The contents of the paper were - 1 - "My Native City" by Meg. (Alice) 2 - "A letter to the Editor" " Laurie (Linn) 3 - A Couquette -- poem " Jo (myself.) 4 - "Little Things" - prose " Aunt M.
