For a bullock when bound in his body nose dry and will not eat. First take off a little blood. Then give a pound of [illegible] salts and half an ounce of ginger in a quart of [gruel?]. If that does not opperate give a pint and half of [sweet?]oil. For [Colic?] in Horses. Take spirits of Hawthorn 2 tablespoon fulls in a pint of water give this for a dose. If the bloat does not go down repeat it. Another. Give from 1 to 2 pints of oil at a dose. To Purify the Blood. 1/4 [illegible] Yellow [dock?] root 1/4 "Dandelion 1/4 Burdock 1/4 Sasparilla Boil in 1 gallon of water until it is reduced to 1 quart strain and add 1/4 pint Whiskey. 1/2 pint of molassas.
