For a Bullock that is chilled and will not eat First draw some blood 3 pints at least Then give twelve ounces of Glauber [ripped] (commonly) called Talc If this does not produce the desired affect give a pint and half of Sweet oil (or Take a good quart of cream stir untill it turns to butter then put it on the fire and met to an oil give this for one dose and about an hour after give Rhubrarband aloes in powder of each one ounce Observe it is almost always the case that when they not eat there is an inflamation in the [?] or stomach Drench for [Cows?] that have the yellows Best Turmeric Two ounces Castile soap three ounces with Rue Celendine & No. Some put Madder and Diapente A Cure for Red Water in Horned Cattle Take salt one pound Water two quarts Butter halfapound and spirits of turpentine half an ounce give this for one dose it seldom needs repeating A Care both for Mange and Vermin in Cattle Put 4 ounces of sulpher and one ground of nut oil Put it into an Earthen vessel place it on a stone fire Stir it with a bit of reed until part of the bristone is dissolved and the oil begins to assume a reddish colour. Then take it from the fire and before it is quite cold add four ounces of essence of Turpentine and stir it until it is well mixed. Apply it with a feather.
