A Cake Take 2 Tea cups ful of flour 1/2 lb powdered loaf sugar 4 eggs leaving out 1 white 6 oz of butter and a small quantity of lemon peel, nutmeg, mace and some currants Mrs. G Sweet Biscuits Take 1/2 lb powdered loaf sugar 1/2 lb of fresh butter 1 lb of Flour and the rind of 1 lemon to be mixed with one egg. Mrs. G Rice Cheese Cakes. Take 4 oz of ground rice 3/4 pint of new milk, and boil the rice in it with a piece of cinnamon, beat 3 yolks of eggs, 3 oz of currants a little Wine, 3 oz of powdered loaf sugar and 3 oz of clarified butter.
