Soda Cake Take 1 lb of Flour, 1/2 lb of Moist sugar, 1/2 pint of new milk, 5 oz of Butter and a Tea spoonful of Carbonate of Soda. Haddison Hill Another Soda Cake Take 1 lb of Flour, 1/2 lb of Currants, 1/2 lb of moist sugar 1/4 pint of Butter 1/2 the rind of a lemon 1/2 a nutmeg, mix all three well together with 1/2 pint of new milk and 2 drams of Carbonate of Soda. Do not put the Soda in untill it is going to be put in the oven. Mrs Sroam Preserved Raspberries Take 3/4 lb of loaf sugar to 1 lb of Fruit besure and boil it 3/4 of an hour. Mrs. Fan. This sauce receipt will do for Cherries & Currants jam mixed. Mrs. Farrs receipt
