Plumb Cake Mix 3/4 lb of Flour with 1/2 lb of Butter, 4 oz sugar 3 or 4 Eggs, a glass of Raisin wine, beat it well and bake it in a quick oven. Add 1/2 an ounce of Carraway Seeds if you like. Rout Drop Cakes. Mix 2 lb of Flour, 1 lb of Butter 1 lb of sugar, 1 lb of Currants clean & dry, then wet into a stiff Paste with 2 Eggs, a large spoonful of Orange Flower water, ditto Rose water, Ditto sweet wine or Brandy, drop on a Tin well greased, a very short time bakes them. Little Plumb Cakes To keep a long time. Dry 1 lb of Flour & mix with 6 oz of Butter to a Cream, and add to 3 Eggs well beaten 1/2 lb of Currants clean & nicely dried & the flour & sugar beaten for some time, then flour the Tins & drop them the size of a Walnut. Little White Cakes. Dry 1/2 lb of Flour rub into it a very little butter about 1 oz, a little powdered sugar, 1 Egg a few Carraways and
