Stomach Powder 1/4 of an oz powdered Rhubarb, 1/4 of an oz powdered Cammamile, 1/4 of an oz ground Ginger, Take a Tea-spoonful at night going to Bed. Mrs. Howe Sent 1852. Strengthening Mixture 2 oz of best Vark, 1 ox of Valerian root, boil them in 2 Quarts of Water, till reduced to 1 Quart, when cold strain it off and add 1 pint of Port Wine, and a little peppermint water. Take a Wine glass full Morning and Evening, and in the Middle of the day if you choose it. Mrs. Howe Sent 1852. To Make Ratifie Cakes. 2 oz of sweet almonds, 1 of oz bitter ditto, 4 oz of loaf sugar, mix it very stiff with white of Egg well beaten, bake them in Tins. Mrs. Howe Sent 1852.
