Powder Cake 1 lb of Flour, 1/2 lb of powdered loaf sugar 1/2 lb of Butter, 2 Eggs, 2 Tea-spoonfuls of Baking Powder. Mrs. Garrards receipt of Aldborough 1856 Cake 1 lb of Flour, 1/2 lb of Currants, 6 oz of loaf sugar, 6 oz of butter, 1/2 pint of Milk, 1 Tea-spoonful of Carbonate of Soda, bake it 10 minutes.
