This Pudding I have Made for 29 years. Xmas 1878. 1/2 lbs of Flour 1 1/2 lb of Bread Crumbs. 2 lbs of Beef Suet. 2 lbs of best Plums. 1 lb of Sultana ditto allow lb for water 2 lbs of Currants 1 lb Mixed peel 8 oz of powdered loaf Sugar 2 Tea spoonfuls of Salt 2 Tea spoonsfuls of ground Ginger & a little Nutmeg 1 Pint of Milk 8 Eggs, to be well beaten up 2 Wine glasses of Brandy. This receipt is a double quantity. Susan Gilbert. December 11th. 1878. This receipt will make my 3 Largest shapes and have arm. Xmas 1879. 1880. 1881. I had 4 new shapes this Xmas, this receipt made the 4 new, and the old round one / 81. 1882. 1883. over
