Wash for the Hair 2 Drachms of powdered Borax 1 ditto of powdered Camphor, on the above pour 1 quart of boiling water, when cold strain it, and it will then be fit for use. For purifying the Blood A hand-full of stinging nettles, 1 ditto of Goose Grass, strain them, then sweeten with sugar, put in a small-tea-spoonful Cream of Tartar, add bread crust toasted with a little yeast upon it. To boil 1 1/2 hours. Mrs Howards. receipt. Uncle Cock's receipt for bile 12 grains of Carbonate of Soda, 12 grains of Rubarb, and 6 grains of ground ginger, this is one dose, Mix it in a little Brandy. February 23rd 1856.
