intend to make the pudding, & put in a sheet of writing paper, then a sheet of puff paste all over the dish, first put in a layer of the ground rice, then a layer of the apricot juice, then a layer of ground rice, & a layer of raspberries, & so on til the dish is full. It will take an hour & quarter to bake it. (Mrs Bremmer) A Braiseworthy Pudding. 1/4 Lb butter, 1/4 of sugar, 4 Eggs, leaving out two whites, 4 savoy Biscuits, a small nutmeg, a glass of white wine, & a tablespoonful of Brandy. - Bake 1/2 an hour.
