well beaten, then pour it into a mould in which there should be placed a piece of thin muslin, which will make the shape take out better; steam it in a steamer for 20 minutes, and serve it quite cold, with preserves. Parkin. 4 Lbs meal, 4 lbs treacle, 1 lb butter, 1 lb moist sugar, a little ginger, & Lemon peel chopped fine, also a few caraway seeds. Rub the butter into the meal, & sugar, then mix all well together. -
