Tanbridge Cakes. Rub 6 ozs of loaf sugar, & 2 Eggs with the above into a paste, roll it very thin, cut the cakes in any form you like, prick them with a fork, a few caraway seeds if liked may be added. Grantham Whetstones. 1 Lb of Flour, 1/4 lb of loaf sugar pounded, 1/2 oz of caraway seeds, 1 Egg, & as much cream as will make it into a stiff paste; roll them very thin, cut them in long slices, prick them well, & bake them in a moderate oven.
