Restorative Jelly. Two ozs of Isinglass, 2 ozs of white sugar candy, 1/2 an oz of gum arabic, a small nutmeg grated; pour over the above ingredients a bottle of port wine, & let it stand twelve hours, then put the jug containing all into a pan of water, & let it simmer till the isinglass is dissolved. Do not strain the jelly. - The size of a nutmeg to be taken three times a day. - (Mrs. Hope).
