Recipe for Pomade, or what is called Cireassiem Cream. 1/2 Lb of Lard, perfectly free from salt 1 oz of white wax 6 pennyworth of sweet or Olive oil of the best quality, 4 pennyworth of Rose oil, 4 penny worth of Essence of Burgamot. Put the 3 first ingredients into a jar or basin, the best way of dissolving them is to put a pan with water in, upon the fire, & put the basin containing the white wax & lard or the top of it, when melted add the Olive oil, also the Rose oil, & when nearly cold, add the Burgammot. - Pour it into the pots, & keep them well covered.
